Parameterised transfer functions with associated confidence bands

This paper presents a method that can be used to obtain the motion transfer functions of ship when detailed hull geometry is not available. In method, any parameterised function optimised from data-driven approach compares measured response spectrum and corresponding theoretical based on combination wave spectrum. The established facilitates association 95% confidence bands which are useful indicate level trust. proposed evaluated conceptual using both simulated in-service measurements, promising results obtained.
